Assam Governor Golab Chand Kataria on Tuesday reviewed the work of various departments of the district in the meeting room of kamrup city district commissioner’s office. The governor attended the review meeting in the presence of commissioner of police Diganta Bora and district commissioner Sumit Sattavan. He called upon everyone to look for people who are out of reach of government schemes but are eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme.
He said that this effort is also continuing through the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra. During the review meeting, the Commissioner of Police first briefed the Governor through a power point presentation on issues such as law and order and crime control in the district.
The Governor insisted on increasing the conviction rate of the accused. The Governor directed to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure that the accused, especially in cases of rape, child abuse, murder etc., do not escape from legal loopholes. The district commissioner apprised the Governor about the progress of the functioning and schemes of other departments.
He directed the education department officials to take appropriate measures in this regard by taking serious note of the issue of excess of students in private schools as compared to government schools in the district.
Stating that it is now difficult to take advantage of government schemes without Aadhaar, the Governor expressed satisfaction over the progress of Aadhaar seeding in Kamrup Metropolitan district. The Governor suggested that anganwadi centres in private residences in the district be shifted to permanent homes at the earliest.
Nature, in the common sense, refers to essences unchanged by man; space, the air, the river, the leaf. Art is applied to the mixture of his will with the same things, as in a house, a canal, a statue, a picture.
But his operations taken together are so insignificant, a little chipping, baking, patching, and washing, that in an impression so grand as that of the world on the human mind, they do not vary the result.
Undoubtedly we have no questions to ask which are unanswerable. We must trust the perfection of the creation so far, as to believe that whatever curiosity the order of things has awakened in our minds, the order of things can satisfy. Every man’s condition is a solution in hieroglyphic to those inquiries he would put.
ECOSYSTEM
