The West Bengal government does not want to comply with the central government’s directive for any reason. Recently the central government has issued an advisory to educational institutions in the states. Accordingly educational institutions in all states will have to use saffron colour in schools. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has made it clear that she will not comply with the Centre’s order for any reason.

Slam’s the central government’s directive, CM Banerjee said, educational institutions in the state are run with state funds. Universities are autonomous. The government cannot unprovoked interference in it. In such a situation, compliance with this order of the Centre means that the Centre will intervene in these educational institutions.

Chief Minister Banerjee criticised the Prime Minister and said that the decision will not be followed for any reason. The central government has changed the colours of railway stations, metro stations, etc. under them as well as its offices. The state government does not comply with any such directive.

However, there has been no response to Mamata Banerjee’s letter from the Prime Minister’s Office so far. Mamata Banerjee’s confrontation with the central government is nothing new. In the past too, such conflicts had become a cause of discussion.

Meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee’s Anna Yojana has also clashed with the Centre. Talking about this scheme, Mamata Banerjee said, “The state has been providing ration to the common people with its own money. The Centre is not relying on money for this. Mamata Banerjee alleged that the Modi government is yet to give Rs 7,000 crore to Bengal in the name of The Prime Minister’s Anna Yojana.

In her latest letter, Mamata Banerjee has pointed out that rs 7,000 crore has been added to the amount of dues she was there in the December meeting. But the Centre has not given any money. Therefore, without expecting the Centre, the Bengal government will provide all the rations on its own to the poor of the state.
