Don’t be afraid of Assam Chief Minister Himanta” said Congress leader Jairam Ramesh from Majuli. Ramesh addressed a press conference after arriving at Majuli of the India Jodo Nyay Yatra today.

Criticising the Assam government, he said, “We are not afraid of obstacles. This yatra has been taken out under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi in the interest of giving justice to every person in the country. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was seen criticising the Congress as soon as the yatra started from Manipur entered Assam via Nagaland.

Addressing Chief Minister Sharma, Ramesh said, “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra is a journey in the interest of giving justice to the people,” Ramesh told Chief Minister Sharma. Stop Rai instead of stopping us. Why is the chief minister so scared? We are overwhelmed by the way the people of Assam have responded. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is angry to see him. Meanwhile, as soon as Rahul Gandhi arrived in Majuli today, the leader was given a warm welcome by the people. On his arrival in Majuli, Rahul Gandhi first reached Auniati Satra in Kamalabari. The leader also held discussions with Satradhikar Pitambar Dev Goswami.  Satradhikar Pitambar Dev Goswami shows Rahul Gandhi’s grandfather a photo of him discussing between the first Prime Minister of independent India, Nehru and satradhikar. Rahul was thrilled to see that. Then in the Auniati Satra, along with the assamese traditional food intake, it was also seen entering the satra with a dhoti gamocha.

Majuli is also famous for mask artists. That’s why Gandhi was seen wearing his face and looking at Gandhi as a prostitute. Auniati Satrat enjoyed the pretense for a while.
