Just 11 days in between. The 93rd convention of Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha will be held on February 9, 10 and 11 at the coordination ground of Srimanta Sankardeva Sangha at Maran Jana Hatikhala ground in Rangia.
Already preparations for the coordination zone where the youth service forces are busy day and night apart from all the bhakat Vaishnavas and grandmothers for the session are almost in full swing. It may be recalled that the temporary namghar being constructed by the devotees daily at Hatikhala ground in Maranjana for several months was inaugurated on January 27.
Padadhikar Bhavendra Nath Deka opened the guru seat of the temporary Namghar. More than 60 lakh devotees, Vaishnavas and mothers will flock to the upcoming session from different parts of Assam to promote coordination, the organisers said.
Already all the necessary arrangements for the session are almost ready for transportation routes, storage equipment etc. are almost ready. Meanwhile, two oil paintings of 20 feet height Of Srimanta Sankardeva will be installed at the main entrance of the session, said Dharnidhar Das, president of the sub-committee of the exhibition.
The two 20 feet high oil paintings painted by painter Rintu Khargharia have been presented by prominent jorhat businessman Rajeshwar Saikia for the session. A book fair and exhibition fair have also been prepared near the entrance to the venue of the session. As many as 1,013 outlets have been set up for the trade fair.
Abhimanyur Chakrabehu Rachanaraji of Mahabharata will be screened at the performance session. The overall management of Chakrabehu is being provided by NF Railways, he added.
