The MP rented a luxury mansion in New Town, Kolkata. There were several other people there with a female friend. It is not known who killed him and why.

The MP is also accused of being involved in a syndicate of counterfeit gold and money supply. He is also alleged to have controlled the gold smuggling route from Dhaka to India.

He also controls a large syndicate in the export of illegal money from Dhaka and other foreign nations.

He is also accused of embezzling a large amount of money while exporting money to an Indian. Therefore, the syndicate is suspected to be involved in his murder.

The two accused were staying at a hotel in Kolkata’s Sadar Street from May 2 to May 13. Note that Azim came to Kolkata on 12th.

In other words, the two accused had arrived in Kolkata at least 10 days before his arrival. They left the hotel a day after Azim arrived.

According to the detectives, the accused planned the murder from the city for these 10 days.

The main question in front of the CID now, where is Azim’s body? How was it ‘deleted’? Who is the ‘mastermind’ behind the whole plan? 

What is the reason for the ‘murder’ and is anyone from West Bengal involved in this incident in any way.

Detectives will go to Bangladesh and interrogate the arrested to find the answer to this question. Information will also be collected from Bangladesh Police.

Azim came to Kolkata for treatment on May 12. First he went up to a friend’s house in Barahnagar. He disappeared after two days from there.

Not being able to contact him, the friend filed a missing diary on May 18. Concerned family members contacted the Bangladesh government.

From there contact is made with the Government of India. After that, the search for the member of parliament began.

According to the police, Azim was in an elite housing flat in New Town. There are still ‘bloodstains’ on the corner of the bed, next to the door.

An empty packet of gloves was also found from the flat. In the CCTV footage of the residence, a few people were seen leaving with trolley bags.

The investigators are looking into whether Azim’s body was ‘lost’ in that bag or not.

According to them, many questions can be answered if you go to Bangladesh and talk to the administration there and interrogate the detainees.

Meanwhile, on May 15, another WhatsApp message came from Anwarul’s phone. Anwarul’s arrival in Delhi was informed there.

On May 16, a call was received from Anwarul’s number to his close aide Abdur Rauf’s number, according to the GD. But he could not pick up the phone. After calling back, Anwarul’s phone could not be reached.

The next day on May 17, MP’s daughter called and said that she could not find her father. Incidentally, Bangladesh police have detained 2 suspected Bangladeshi nationals in this incident.
