Reliance Industries Limited will invest Rs 11,500 crore to make this joint venture a success. Reliance Industries Limited will have a 16.94 per cent stake in a joint venture of Rs 70,352 crore.
On the contrary, VIACOM 18 and Disney will share 46.82 and 36.84 per cent respectively. Nita Ambani will be the chairman of the joint venture while Uday Shankar will be the vice president.
The joint venture will play a leading role in the promotion of entertainment and various sports shows. Where channels like Colors, Star Plus and Star Gold as well as Star Sports and Sports 18 will come together. Streaming the Jio Cinema and Hotstar will be the play schedule.
The joint venture will cover 750 million viewers in India alone. It will also give 24 hours of entertainment to people of Indian origin all over the world.
Disney produced films will add another dimension to the entertainment quotient. Along with the film, the Indian audience will be able to enjoy more than 30,000 shows in Disney.
