In this letter, the Congress has mentioned the issues of partner’s judgment, youth justice, peasant justice, women’s justice and labour justice.
Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has been honestly saying that he should not vote for whom will the Muslim voters vote for? Because the Congress has promised, the BJP keeps saying that it will not need Muslim votes.
The chief minister replied: “They will never vote for us. I have denied that they don’t need votes before they deny my love and affection.
Explaining the matter, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also told ndtv reporters that he was not going to campaign in 2016 or in the subsequent elections where there was such a voter influence.
The BJP has not dared to deny these voters in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, even though they say they don’t need miya votes. Another stamp card of Khilonjiya Muslims has already been played well by the BJP.
In Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency, the BJP minister is seen making election speeches and promises to woo those voters. After the reassignment of the constituency, the BJP has claimed that many constituency equations that the Miyan voter decides the fate will change.
In the 2021 assembly elections, 31 Muslim MLAs have been elected to the Assam Legislative Assembly from various parties. Responsible BJP ministers predict that the number will come down to 22 in 2026.
The boundaries of the constituencies have been changed keeping in view the khilonjiya interests and the constituencies reserved for Scheduled Castes have been increased from the earlier eight to nine, the constituencies reserved for Scheduled Tribes have been increased from 16 to 19.
Can anyone in Assam deny the votes of Mians or Muslims even after such political parades? Is the BJP doing away with this mian vote by showing a different picture and political image to Khilonjiya?
According to the 2011 census, Assam is the second highest state to have a percentage of muslim population in the country. Jammu and Kashmir was in the first place.

The districts with the largest Muslim population in Assam are 70.74 per cent in Barpeta, 50.52 per cent in Bongaigaon, 64.34 per cent in Darrang, 79.67 per cent in Dhubri, 57.52 per cent in Goalpara, 60.31 per cent in Hailakandi, 57.36 per cent in Karimganj, 52.56 per cent in Morigaon, 52.56 per cent in Morigaon, 55.36 per cent in Nagaon.

Barring the Dhubri Lok Sabha seat, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma had announced that he would go to campaign in the remaining 13 constituencies. But in six out of the 14 constituencies in the state, minority voters decide to win or lose their candidates.
That’s why the chief minister has insisted that there should be no miya vote, but the BJP has prepared an election strategy according to the blueprint on how to garner those votes from within and within. On the one hand, khilonjiya people are showing misogyny, on the other hand, there is a vigorous campaign at the grassroots level for the vote of that Mian.

There was a day – there was an atmosphere in which someone could say that we did not need the votes of Mians or Muslims. Now that environment is not there. In 1901, the Muslim population in Assam was 303170. In 1911, the Muslim population in the state increased by 109.2 percent to 634101.
Assam had a Muslim population of 3594006 in 1971, 4722467 in 1981, 6373204 in 1991 and 10679345 in 2011. That number crossed the 14 million mark in 2024.
Of these, the number of Garia-Moria, Desi, Sayyed, etc., which are considered to be Khilonjiya Muslims, is only 42 lakh. In that sense, in the state with a population of 35 million, there are more than 1 crore Miyans.
It is not a matter of which religion’s vote. Now the opposition is non-existent in the state. There is a terrible political atmosphere inside and within. So perhaps out of doubt or compulsion, many will say that they have voted for the BJP or we have given it.
