There is a lot of talk of quitting the party in Assam as Bihar politics is heating up.
Could the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra not do justice to a section of Congress leaders? So several Congress leaders are ready to leave their hands and hold on to the BJP.
Ankita Dutta, daughter of former state Congress president late Anjan Dutta, and former minister Bismita Gogoi are likely to join the BJP.
Youth Congress leader Ankita Dutta was expelled from the party by the state Congress for alleged anti-party activities. So the expelled leader staged a protest in Amguri during the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra.
Meanwhile, former minister Bismita Gogoi is also likely to join the BJP. The leader, who has been a sort of alienation from the Congress who had not been seen in Congress meetings for a long time, had been discussed in the past to join the BJP.
Not only Congress workers but former AASU leaders Dipank Nath and Prakash Das are also likely to join the BJP.
It is being speculated that all the leaders will join the BJP in the presence of state BJP presidents on Sunday and Monday, January 28 and 29January .
