Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is likely to step down from his post by this afternoon amid the ongoing political turmoil in Bihar. According to sources, Nitish Kumar told a meeting of JD(U) MLAs that it is difficult to stay together and now is the time to resign.
After the meeting, he will leave for raj bhavan to submit his resignation. He will then submit his resignation to the governor. Nitish Kumar’s move is being seen as a major setback for the INDIA block.
