The word ‘Vyommitra‘ is derived from two cultural terms.
‘Vyom’ means space and ‘Mitra’ means friend. This information was released by Union Minister for Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh.
This woman robot astronaut, Jitendra Singh, revealed that she will monitor the parameters of the module by ‘Vyommitra’. Also equipped with the ability to issue alerts and carry out life support activities.
