On the eve of the Lok Sabha elections, Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma is more confident. This time the chief minister’s early prediction of the assembly and not the Lok Sabha. In the 2026 assembly elections, the BJP alliance will get 100 seats. “Sachin Tendulkar will not only win a century, we will also kill a century”, the chief minister said.
Chief Minister Sharma reiterated, “I may not be three Gogois. I am taking Lachit to the chest of the world”. Meanwhile the Chief Minister hit back at the opposition for slams the state government’s loans. We have not taken loans by mortgaging the land and property of any person in Assam. We have taken loans in the same way as the government can take. The chief minister said the government has taken a loan on how much loan it can repay.
