The CBI conducted a search operation at the residence of former Jammu and Kashmir governor Satyapal Malik. It has come to light that the agency conducted a search operation at the former governor’s residence in Delhi on Thursday.
It is learnt that the raid was carried out by Satyapal Malik in connection with the scam in the Kiru hydropower project. The CBI is also learnt to be carrying out searches at 30 other places related to the incident.
It needs to be mentioned here that the agency has started operations since Thursday morning. Around 100 CBI officials are conducting raids at 30 locations in different parts of the country and many facts have come to light in the operation.
Notably, a RS 2,200-crore scam had taken place in the Kiru hydropower project. However, he was reacting to the CBI raids at the residence of the former governor.
Satyapal Malik said, “Instead of investigating those involved in corruption, the CBI has raided my residence. The dictator is trying to scare me by misusing government agencies. He mentioned on social media that he would not get anything but 4-5 pairs of kurta-pajamas.”
