The SBI has also approached the Supreme Court. While the BJP had sought details of the electoral bonds introduced by it as unconstitutional, sbi sought time till June 30 for it.
But in the supreme court’s stern stance, the SBI submitted the details on March 12. According to sources in the Supreme Court, SBI submitted the details of electoral bonds to the Supreme Court on Tuesday, March 12.
It is to be noted that the ruling BJP received the maximum amount through electoral bonds. But no source of where, who was supplying the money, was made public. Therefore, the opposition has been raising doubts about a big scam in this system.
What made that suspicion more relevant was the SBI’s position. Because despite all the information in stock, sbi said it will be able to give this information only after June 30 only after the Lok Sabha elections.
It was here that many suspected that the SBI had informed the court in this way for fear of tarnishing the image of the ruling BJP in the Lok Sabha elections.
But dissatisfied with SBI’s reply, the Supreme Court made it clear that the SBI will have to furnish all the information by March 12 and otherwise face contempt of court proceedings.
As a result, the SBI is learnt to have submitted all the information today within the stipulated time. A five-judge bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud of the Supreme Court had termed the electoral bonds as unconstitutional.
