In November last year, a case was registered against six persons on charges of using and smuggling snake venom. Among them was Elvis’s name. “He has been arrested by a team from Sector 20 police station,” Noida Additional Superintendent of Police Manish Mishra told reporters on Sunday. ’’
The first issue came to light last year in a complaint by a voluntary organization working for animals. Based on their complaint, the police registered a case and started investigation.
On November 3 last year, the police raided a banquet hall in Noida and arrested five of the accused. Nine snakes and 20 milliliters of venom, including five felines, were rescued from their possession. Some of the rescued snakes did not have venom glands and teeth.
Police said Elvis was not present there then. However, the police have come to know about the contact that others had with him over the exchange of snake venom. Bjp leader Maneka Gandhi, who is also the president of the voluntary organization, also demanded Elvis’ arrest.
Elvis has been questioned multiple times in the past. The YouTuber claimed that the allegations against him were baseless. He was finally arrested by the police on Sunday.
