Manu Bhaker was born on February 18, 2002, in Garia village of Jhajjar district of Haryana. His father Ram Kishan Bhaker works as chief engineer in the Merchant Navy.
Till the age of 14, he played other sports such as Manipuri martial arts Huen Langlon, boxing, tennis and skating. In all these games, he won medals at the National Sports Festival. He later got attracted to shooting.
