Assam Police’s espionage controversy in ULFA (I)’s camp
Ulfa (I) and Assam police clashes have intensified over whether Manas Borgohain is actually a policeman and a spy.
Assam Police including Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and DGP G Singh have clarified that Manas Borgohain, who has already been arrested for spying on ulfa (i)’s ongoing camp on behalf of the police, is not the SI of the Special Cell of Assam Police.
But in yet another video message issued on Tuesday, the armed outfit responded to the claims of Assam Police as false. Through this video message, the middleman of the whole incident Manas Borgohain has made public several explosive allegations against the Assam Police.
Manas in particular has made sensational claims in this latest video that several top police officers are masterminds of the entire plan.
Manas Chaliha, who came into the limelight all of a sudden, mentioned in a video, “I am not lying. I am telling the truth. I am a sub-inspector of Special Branch. I will say no lie but once but a thousand times, I have not told any lie. After my appointment to the police, I told that to my father.

It may be recalled that manas Borgohain, a youth from Marangaon village of Sarupathar in Golaghat district, was arrested for spying on behalf of The Assam Police in an ULFA (i) camp and issued a video message on Sunday and the organisation had made serious allegations against the Assam Police.
