The 10th Bhaona Samaroh 2024 is being held from today under the initiative of Majuli Auniati Satra. The 13-day festival is being held. More than 30 bhawnas will participate in the bhaona ceremony held at Manikanchan Rangashetra on Thursday.
It is to be noted that the Assam Bhaona Samaroh has been held every two years since 2006.
Today, 15,000 women performed Dihanam together at the Bhawna Samaroh organized by Auniati Satra, which is in its 10th year.
A spiritual atmosphere prevails in Majuli. All the women perform two dihanams each at the same time. The sky is windy with the sound of Harinam. Thousands of women from Imur to Simur in Assam participate. The sky of Majuli in the Manikanchan area is named after 15,000 Namti’s Dihanam.
Namti from different districts of Assam was overwhelmed to participate. Countless devotees have been seen thronging the Auniati Satra. Flag hoisting guru seat pratistha etc. is held in the morning. Dihanam is held at 12 o’clock. This was followed by the release of the Bhaktiranga Memorial Book by journalist Debabrata Mishra. Agriculture Minister Atul Bora and several dignitaries were present on the occasion.
