The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi which started on January 14 entered West Bengal on Thursday. Like in Assam, West Bengal too is facing protests in the beginning.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra entered Behar via Bakshirhat on Thursday morning. West Bengal Congress president and Lok Sabha MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury along with several state Congress members arrived at the Assam-Bengal border to receive Rahul Gandhi.
After this Rahul Gandhi said in the context of his speech “I like West Bengal very much. I have come to stand by you. I thank the leaders and workers of West Bengal for welcoming me with so much love. “
“Injustice has happened in the country. The BJP-RSS is spreading hatred, violence and injustice. For this INDIA has started fighting against injustice together. “
Meanwhile, Trinamool Congress workers staged a protest in Behar over Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. When Rahul Gandhi’s convoy was on its way to Cooch Behar from Bakshirhat, a large number of Behar citizens held a protest at Jorai Junction with banners and placards.
