AAP Assam released a list of three candidates for the Lok Sabha polls in the state without consulting the alliance. Even before the announcement of the 2024 Lok Sabha election day, the I.N.D.I.A. alliance in Assam seems to have cracked. The Aam Aadmi Party is believed to have pulled out of the opposition I.N.D.I.A coalition in Assam.
On February 8, the Aam Aadmi Party announced the names of its candidates for three Lok Sabha seats in Assam. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will field its candidates in dibrugarh, tezpur and Guwahati Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming elections. It is learnt that AAP candidate Manoj Dhanwar in Dibrugarh, Rishiraj Kaundinya in Tezpur and AAP Assam state president Bhaven Chowdhury will be aap candidates for Guwahati Lok Sabha seat.
It may be recalled that the AAP Assam leadership had held a meeting with the aap’s central representative on February 5. Two days after that meeting, AAP Assam announced its list of candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. Now the question arises whether the alliance of AAP and Congress is over. Only time can be expected to answer such questions.
