PM Narendra Modi as well as the ruling and opposition parties have been campaigning since the announcement of the Lok Sabha election dates. Leaders are participating in various rallies.
While the India Alliance rallied in Mumbai on Sunday, PM Modi continued with the “120-hour South Vijay Abhiyan”. The BJP is making all efforts to make the 400-year-old slogan a reality. This time, the BJP is focusing on campaigning in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.
The BJP thinks it will easily cross 400 seats if seats are available in these states. That is why the BJP has given more importance to these 3 states. As a part of this, Prime Minister Modi has spent 23 days in the southern states of the last 77 days.
The number of Lok Sabha seats in the southern states is 129. The BJP had won only 29 seats in 2019 while the opposition won 100 seats.
The BJP’s performance in Karnataka was good. The BJP won 25 of the 28 seats in the state. Won 4 of the 17 seats in Telangana. But in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala, the BJP did not win a single seat.
This time Modi has launched a 120-hour drive in the southern states. Prime Minister Modi launched the campaign on Friday. He has already addressed rallies in Palnadu in Andhra Pradesh, Jagtial in Telangana and today at Shivamogga in Karnataka.
His fourth programmed is in Coimbatore. He attended a meeting on Monday evening and attended a rally at Palakkad in Kerala on Tuesday. This is followed by his sixth schedule at Salem in Tamil Nadu.
The prime minister’s move is likely to help the party a lot. The Lok Sabha elections will be held in seven phases from April 19.
