Earth is the only planet in the solar system, where the living world has been able to exist. In fact, there is life in the world. There are many types of animals and plants found here. But there are beautiful places in the world as well as terrible places. But many people are not aware of it. Is there such a thing on earth as the ‘door to hell’? I would like to share that in today’s report.
In fact, there is a door to hell in our world. It may sound unbelievable but it’s true! This door to hell is in Turkmenistan. In fact, here the Karakoum desert is called the door to hell. Where there is always a flame of fire.
But what is the reason for the fire emanating from the Karakum desert? The question will arise in the minds of many, why does the fire emanate all the time from the gates of hell in this Karakum desert? Then know the answer. Actually, it’s a pit. The fire is emitted from it due to methane gas. The fire has reportedly been burning for nearly 50 years. But this pit has not been created due to natural calamities. Rather, it is man-made.
Location of Turkmenistan: Turkmenistan in Central Asia. Large reserves of natural gas were discovered in Turkmenistan in the early 1970s. But in 1971, there was a major explosion in the natural gas extraction competition.
This disaster led to a huge pothole there. Scientists set fire to the end of the pit so that the methane gas starts to leak out and it does not spread. So that when the gas runs out, the fire is extinguished. But unfortunately that has not happened. As a result, the fire is still burning in this place. Which has been called the door of hell.
What is the depth of the door of hell? The gate of hell i.e. this pit is about 229 feet high and 65 feet deep. The smell of methane and sulfur emitted from it has spread far and wide. And tourists from all over the world flock here to see this scene.
The remarks of the President of Turkmenistan, the pit has negatively affected the environment and the health of the people living in adjacent areas. He adds, “We have lost our precious natural resources. From which we could have made significant profits and used it for the good of the people of our country.
