Since Friday, the largest religious event in the North East, the 93rd convention of Srimanta Sankardeva’s Sangha, was held at the coordination ground of Hatikhala field. The session started at the coordination ground of Sankaradeva in Hatikhala ground of Hatikhala ground in Morijana of Rangia. The camp is already full of vaisnavas coming to Bhakat.

A book release meeting was held at 1.30 pm at the coordination ground of Hatikhala ground near Moronjana in Rangia which was held from Friday with a three-day programme. The meeting chaired by office bearer Bhavendra Nath Deka unveiled the commemorative book of the session Bhakti Sindhu.

Dr. Kuladhar Saikia, former president of Asom Sahitya Sabha, inaugurated the event. The former president mentioned the memories of Gurujana in the inaugural session and also highlighted in detail the systematic aspect of the establishment of Gurujana’s Namghar. Meanwhile, Agriculture Minister Atul Bora, who was present at the Srimanta Sankardev Sangha session at the meeting, said that the environment of the coordination area of Hatikhala field was happy.

As many as 10,000 devotees were able to dine at a large eatery during the session where the target target devotees gathered. The reception committee also welcomed everyone with the sound of Harinam at the main entrance to greet the devotees coming from far and wide in the session.

35 sub-committees, medical services gates, torans formed to make the session a success were unveiled by a number of invited guests in the morning. Meanwhile 300 chaukas at the eatery at the convention venue were 2000 distributed at the eatery instead of 300 cooks.
