If you are using an Android device, the Computer Emergency Response Team of the Government of India has issued a warning on Android about the vulnerability of ‘High Security Risk’ i.e. ‘High Security’ risk. The team stressed that these activities are likely to allow attackers to access sensitive information and implement the Arbitary code on your phone.

These weaknesses can be found in Android versions 11, 12, 13, and 14. This means that even if you have the latest Android version in your hand, you are less likely to get rid of these dangers.

CERT-In states that the risk is higher in terms of framework, system, arm components, and MediaTek components, Unisoc components, Qualcomm components, and Qualcomm close-sourced components.

To protect your device, you need to have Android “Security patch levels of 2024-02-05″ or Security patch levels”. So, when your device’s OEM releases the said update, download only the latest available update.

Considering the ‘high’ importance rating, it is advisable to focus on additional safety-enhancing features. Enable two-factor authentication, use a strong passcode, and adhere to good digital niche methods.
